If there was any place that I could teleport to at any time, I think I've found it.
There's a familiar air in this town literally on the border of California and Nevada. Much of our time there was spent on the water, looking at the water, hiking to look at the water, sleeping in the water, sitting in the water, being the water. It's been about twenty or so days since I stomped on this sand, but the feeling of it is still lingering.Part of me really wants to be a city girl. Completely immersed in the hustle and bustle of a place with so much to see and so much to do. Still, deep down, when I stumble upon a gem in fresh air, with tall trees and the small-town feel, I get off the metro real quick! I guess it stems from growing up in Anchorage, Alaska. Or even more, spending my childhood in a city in La Union, Philippines that didn't really feel like the center-point of the province's economy. I'll always be that little kid wanting to run with her arms wide open to embrace all that has been created and left to discover.
Lake Tahoe, I miss you so. I'll see you again soon!
