Old Treasure
I found a really old piece of writing I did in second grade. I don't remember what it was about, but it fell out of a scrapbook project I made in high school. Aside from what I wrote, I kind of marveled at how much my handwriting hasn't really changed. It's still the same squarish-rounded-edge-type-thing.

Green Goodness
My office building is right next to our locally owned and home-grown version of Whole Foods. I'm becoming a regular at their so-called "Hydration Station" and my go-to right now is a green juice with cucumbers, kale, apple, and lemon.

Lived-in Hair
I added a bit more color to my hair. It's brighter in person and my ends are more saturated. I felt like it turned out auburn at first, but when I take pictures or look at my hair in natural light it's a nice and subtle brown.

#IHM2015
June is Immigration Heritage Month in the US. It's been awesome to see and share stories between so many other people who can trace their roots to different parts of the world. I'm glad I grew up in diversity, and I welcome every chance to celebrate that. The organizers called on everyone to post a #TBT and mine happened to be retweeted by @MichaelSkolknik (President of GlobalGrind)!

喜喜 Double Happiness
I went to my friends' wedding which was such an awesome blend of eastern and western traditions. They had a traditional western (American) wedding that was followed by traditional Thai and Chinese wedding rituals. I loved watching everything unfold, it was a beautiful wedding! To top it off, the wedding party and all of the guests were ON ANOTHER LEVEL!

Summering
It's shaping up to be a pretty nice summer around these parts. Too bad I'll be leaving for Beijing soon. I always love Alaskan summers because they're, first off, they're way underrated. Secondly, there is always a light breeze so you're not completely showering in humidity and sweat. Lastly, THIS KIND OF WEATHER IS SO WELL-DESERVED BY EVERYONE WHO LIVES HERE OMG. Aside from that, I do hope that the wildfires that are happening all around the state calm down. Firefighters have been trying, but it's so dry here. Some areas are also pretty windy, and that doesn't help at all. I just want everyone to make it out safe and sound!

How's your summer treating you?
