A long time ago, I used to think of Los Angeles as this huge, hustling city that was so different from what I had known growing up in Alaska. The only real big city that I ever lived in was Manila, but that was just for a few months before moving to Alaska. I never really knew what it was like to be in a place that had such a fast pace.
That's why LA always seemed so appealing to me and the first time I found myself there several years ago I marveled at all that had been created in this city.

But between the building, art, music, people, I've gained an appreciation for the beauty of LA beyond its skyline. Harsh rain clouds are seldom here. The sky is always clear. The trees have stood tall and have watched generation after generation walk the streets. When you look beyond the car windows, infrastructure and urban feel of this huge county, the little glimpses of Mother Earth are that much more beautiful.
What do you notice in the city?
